Privacy Policy — Agriculture Cal

Agriculture Cal ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") is developed and published by Purohit Moshai ("Developer"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use Agriculture Cal, available on the Google Play Store. This policy is written to comply with the Google Play Developer Program Policies, the Google Play Data Safety requirements, and applicable data protection laws including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA).

By downloading, installing, or using Agriculture Cal, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

1. Summary (Plain-Language Overview)

Agriculture Cal does not require account creation or login.
Agriculture Cal does not collect your name, phone number, email address, or any personally identifiable information.
All calculator inputs, saved history, favorites, region/unit preferences, and theme settings are stored only on your device using local storage (Hive database). We never see this data, and it is never uploaded to our servers, because we do not operate a server that receives it.
The App displays ads through Google AdMob, which may collect limited technical and advertising-identifier data as described in Section 4.
The App does not sell your personal data.
You can delete all locally stored data at any time by clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

Agriculture Cal does not collect, request, or store:

Your name, email address, phone number, or physical address
Government ID numbers, land ownership documents, or financial account details
Precise or coarse GPS location (the App uses a manually selected Country/State/Region dropdown, not device location services)
Photos, contacts, camera, or microphone data
Any login credentials (the App has no account/sign-in system)

3. Information Stored Locally On Your Device

To let you use calculators offline and revisit past results, the App stores the following only within your device's local app storage (via the Hive local database), never transmitted to us:

Calculator inputs and computed results you choose to save
Your favorited/most-used calculators
Your selected Country/State/Region (used only to show relevant regional agronomic reference values within the app)
Your selected app language
Your selected theme (light/dark mode)

This data stays on your device. Uninstalling the App, or clearing its storage from your device's Settings, permanently deletes this data. We have no access to it and no ability to recover it on your behalf, because it is never sent to us.

4. Advertising and Third-Party Services

Agriculture Cal is a free, ad-supported app. We use Google AdMob (a Google Mobile Ads service) to display banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads within the App.

4.1 What AdMob may collect

Google AdMob and its partner ad networks may automatically collect and process certain information to serve and measure ads, which can include:

Advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID / Google Advertising ID)
Device information (device model, operating system version, language settings, IP address)
App usage and interaction data related to ad performance (impressions, clicks)
Approximate location derived from IP address (for regional ad relevance), where permitted

4.2 Ad personalization choice

Depending on your device, region, and Google account settings, you may be able to opt out of personalized/interest-based advertising via:

Your Android device's Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization, or
Visiting Google's Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com

Opting out does not stop ads from being shown but limits how they are personalized.

4.3 No sale of personal data

The Developer does not sell, rent, or trade any user data to third parties. Any data processing performed by Google AdMob is carried out by Google as an independent service provider under Google's own privacy terms, not on our behalf as a data broker arrangement.

4.4 Other third-party libraries

The App may use standard, non-intrusive open-source Flutter/Android libraries (for local storage, charting, and navigation) that operate entirely on-device and do not transmit personal data externally. No analytics SDK that collects personally identifiable information is integrated into this App beyond the AdMob functionality described above.

5. Children's Privacy

Agriculture Cal is intended for a general audience (farmers, students, and agricultural professionals) and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age under local law, e.g., 16 in parts of the EU/EEA, or as otherwise defined by India's DPDPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ad content served through AdMob is configured in accordance with Google Play's Families Policy requirements where applicable. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this App, please contact us using the details in Section 10 and we will take appropriate action.

6. Data Security

Because Agriculture Cal does not operate a backend server or database that receives your calculator data, there is no central server-side data store for us to secure or that could be breached on our end. Locally stored data on your device is subject to your device's own operating system security (screen lock, encryption, etc.). We recommend keeping your device's operating system and security settings up to date.

Any data processed by Google AdMob is secured under Google's own industry-standard security practices, independent of this App.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, India's DPDPA, or similar laws, including the right to:

Access — Since we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is no personal data held by us to provide access to. Locally stored data is already fully accessible to you on your device.
Delete — You can delete all App data at any time via your device's Settings → Apps → Agriculture Cal → Clear Storage/Clear Data, or by uninstalling the App.
Opt out of personalized ads — See Section 4.2.
Object/Restrict processing related to advertising — Managed through your device's ad settings and Google's Ads Settings, as Google acts as the data controller for its advertising identifiers and processing.

If you have region-specific rights requests that require the Developer's involvement (for example, a formal GDPR/CCPA inquiry), contact us using Section 10, and we will respond consistent with applicable law, noting the limits described above regarding data we do not collect or hold.

8. Data Retention

On-device data: Retained until you delete it yourself (via in-app deletion, clearing app storage, or uninstalling). We set no server-side retention period because no such server-side copy exists.
AdMob-related data: Retained by Google according to Google's own data retention practices, as described in Google's Privacy Policy.

9. International Data Transfers

Because the App itself does not transmit personal data to the Developer's servers, no developer-controlled international transfer of personal data occurs through core App functionality. Advertising-related data processed by Google AdMob may be transferred and processed in accordance with Google's own global infrastructure and safeguards, as described in Google's Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App's functionality, legal requirements, or advertising practices. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice (such as an in-app notice) of significant changes. Your continued use of the App after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
