Purohit Moshai ("we," "our," "us") operates the mobile application Panchang Kundli Cal (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, who it may be shared with, and the choices and rights you have regarding that information.

By downloading, installing, or using Panchang Kundli Cal, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

Birth details for Kundli generation — date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth, which you enter to generate a birth chart (Kundli), Guna Milan match, Dasha calculation, or related astrological result.
Location for Panchang calculations — a city, place name, or coordinates you enter (or select via device location, if you grant permission) so the App can calculate tithi, nakshatra, sunrise/sunset, Rahu Kalam, and other panchang elements accurate to your location and timezone.
Language and theme preferences — the language and light/dark mode you select in Settings.
Saved Kundlis — any birth charts you choose to save for future reference (e.g., for yourself or family members).

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

Device and usage data — device type, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and general usage patterns (which screens are opened, which calculators are used), collected to help us fix bugs and improve the App.
Advertising identifiers — such as the Google Advertising ID, collected through Google AdMob to serve and measure ads (see Section 4).
Approximate location for advertising — if you consent, general/approximate location may be used by our advertising partner to show more relevant ads. This is separate from the location you manually enter for panchang calculations.

1.3 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not require account creation, and we do not ask for your name, phone number, email address, or any government identification to use the App's core calculators. We do not access your contacts, photos, messages, or call logs.

2. How We Store Your Information

Local storage by default. Your birth details, saved Kundlis, location entries, and preferences are stored locally on your device using secure local storage (Hive database). This data is not automatically uploaded to our servers.
No cloud sync (current version). As of this version of the App, there is no account-based cloud backup of your birth details or saved Kundlis. If you uninstall the App or clear its data, this locally stored information will be permanently deleted from your device.
If a future version of the App introduces optional cloud backup or sync, this Privacy Policy will be updated in advance, and such a feature will require your explicit consent before any birth or personal data leaves your device.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

Calculate and display accurate Panchang details (tithi, nakshatra, yoga, karana, muhurat timings, festival dates) for your selected date and location.
Generate your Kundli (birth chart), Guna Milan compatibility results, Dasha periods, and related astrological content based on the birth details you enter.
Remember your language and theme preference so you don't have to reselect them each time.
Save and retrieve Kundlis you choose to store within the App.
Diagnose crashes and technical issues, and improve the App's performance and features.
Serve advertisements through Google AdMob to support the free availability of the App (see Section 4).
Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use your birth details or location data to build an advertising profile, and we do not sell your birth chart data, Kundli data, or personal information to third parties.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Panchang Kundli Cal is a free app supported by advertising through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use certain data — such as advertising identifiers, approximate location, and device information — to show ads and measure their performance, in accordance with Google's own privacy practices.

Consent (EEA/UK/Switzerland and other applicable regions). On first launch, the App presents a consent form through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP), consistent with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Google's EU User Consent Policy. You can choose to accept, customize, or reject non-essential ad personalization. You may change your consent choice at any time from the App's Settings.
India. In accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), we process personal data only as reasonably necessary to provide the App's services and advertising, and we aim to give you clear notice and control over that processing.

You can review or reset your Google Advertising ID, and opt out of interest-based advertising, through your device's Google Settings (Settings → Google → Ads).

We do not control third-party advertising networks' data practices beyond what is disclosed here and in Google's own policies.

5. Permissions the App May Request

Internet access	Required to serve ads, fetch AdMob configuration, and (if applicable) resolve place names to coordinates/timezones for accurate calculations.
Notifications (optional)	If enabled, to send you optional reminders — for example, an upcoming Ekadashi or festival date. You can disable this at any time in your device settings.

You may deny or revoke any permission at any time through your device's App Settings. Denying optional permissions will not prevent you from using the App's core calculators, though some convenience features (like auto-location) may require manual entry instead.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information only in the following circumstances:

Service providers — such as Google AdMob and Google Play services, which process certain data on our behalf strictly to operate advertising and app-distribution functions, under their own privacy terms.
Legal requirements — if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Purohit Moshai, our users, or the public.
Business transfers — if the App or its assets are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale, user data (to the extent any is held by us) may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy or a policy at least as protective.

We do not share your birth details, Kundli data, or saved location entries with any third party for their own marketing purposes.

7. Children's Privacy

Panchang Kundli Cal is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email address in Section 11 so we can take appropriate action, including deletion of such information.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information processed by the App, including local storage safeguards and standard security practices for Android applications. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:

Access and portability — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you (note: most of your data, such as birth details and saved Kundlis, is stored locally on your own device and is already directly accessible to you within the App).
Correction — update or correct your saved information at any time directly within the App (e.g., editing or deleting a saved Kundli).
Deletion — delete your locally stored data at any time by removing a saved Kundli within the App, or by clearing the App's data/uninstalling the App from your device.
Withdraw consent — change or withdraw your advertising consent choice at any time via Settings within the App.
Object or restrict processing — where applicable under GDPR, DPDP Act, or similar laws, you may contact us to raise objections regarding processing of your data.

To exercise any of these rights regarding data we may hold outside your device (such as anonymized crash/usage analytics), please contact us using the details in Section 11.

10. Data Retention

Data stored locally on your device (birth details, saved Kundlis, preferences) is retained until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App.
Anonymized or aggregated usage/crash data, where collected, is retained only as long as necessary for the diagnostic and improvement purposes described in Section 3, or as required by our service providers' own retention policies.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the App's features, or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Where changes are significant — particularly any change that would involve collecting new categories of personal data or introducing cloud storage of birth details — we will provide a more prominent notice within the App (such as an in-app dialog) before the change takes effect. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
